Visual Displays
One of my favourite pastimes is creating visual displays for shop windows, exhibitions and shows. I’ve never been really brilliant with a paintbrush so rather than attempting to work on a canvas I choose to source beautiful products and arrange them into little vistas that are designed to entice you into their world.
I have always loved creating stunning displays and customers would travel from far and wide each year to see my Christmas shop windows. I would spend the whole year planning the windows and then more than one hundred hours putting them together but it was always worth it, especially when I saw the joy that it brought to everyone. Every morning before we started work, we would have to clean the windows from lots of little sticky fingers and faces that had been pushed up against the glass peering in to see the magical lands!
I have included some images here of some recent works and if you would like me to help you with your dreams of a beautiful shop window or a little girl’s fairy bedroom, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
‘The Faeries Tea Party’ an exhibition of original dolls by Chris Boston was held in September 2008. The exhibition was a huge success with many people commenting that they would have been quite happy to move in and stay in our enchanted forest with the faeries permanently! Chris and I held the 'Bejewelled Fantasea' exhibition in September last year which proved to be our most exciting exhibition to date and now everyone wants to be a mermaid!!
Look out for our next display which will be held at the Gold Coast Show from Friday August 27 until Sunday August 29. Just three days only, but we still guarantee to have you 'spell-bound' as we recreate a magical forest complete with faeries, dragons and lots of other mythical creatures! We will post more information closer to the event.
I have just returned from working in Merredin WA again where we held some fabulous workshops and created a new display in Christina's Cottage so I've included an image of that for you here too.

This is the lounge-room of Santa and Mrs Claus who visited Dinmore Cottage in December. The children who visited truly believed that they were in Santa’s home!
This is my home in Christmas 2007.
